DAN
BASTIANELLI

MAGIC with PURPOSE.
A good magician can give people great things:
An amazing experience, shared with others.
A story that they can't wait to tell.
A memory that stays with them forever.
For Dan, magic is never solely about the trick. It's about everything that surrounds it: anticipation, surprise, laughter, and the feeling, even for a brief moment, that anything could be possible.
Dan sees magic as an experience to be shared. He strives to give his audiences something much more meaningful than just the question 'how did you do that?'. His main focus is on creating moments that audiences can connect with and hopefully remember for a long time.
Whether it's close-up performances for intimate groups at weddings and parties, or theatrical stage shows, Dan likes to explore how magic can bring people together. It can be through laughter, disbelief or genuine astonishment, but the aim is always to create something memorable. Because ultimately, it's not about the details of what happens.
It's about how it makes them feel.

THE BOY WHO DREW DOORS
What happens when a story starts telling itself?
The Boy Who Drew Doors is Dan Bastianelli's theatrical magic show about the worlds we create when we’re young — and what happens when, as adults, we forget how to visit them.
This is Dan's passion piece, actively challenging the typical conventions around what a magic show can be.
The Boy Who Drew Doors ran to much audience acclaim at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2026, and returns at the Edinburgh International Magic Festival.
